Research Permits in Indonesia
One of the benefits of studying in Indonesia with ACICIS is that we do all of the visa paperwork for you, both before you go, and when you arrive in Indonesia. You receive a 12 month KITAS, and an MREP.
If you were to go on your own, here is an example of instructions on getting all the permits needed after you have received a VITAS visa, a research permit from LIPI, and then arrived in Indonesia. This information was provided in pamphlet form by the American-Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF) in Jakarta, to recent Fulbright Scholars upon their arrival in Indonesia. The information is available at http://www.antarakita.net/thisjustin.html and was pointed out by John MacDougal in his Indonesian Studies YahooGroup.

But we did not close our eyes, in the posting before this, was sent by me that peoples around our community that was blind the law, so as often the problem emerged because of the shortage of the explanation, and just honest, many of the upholders of the law that was asked, even returned angry and said "No Matter What , You are violated the article so many..."
I remembered my time was a boy, my Grandma told me if I did a delinquency always said "ngana jang so papancuri, nanti polisi tangka[p] pa ngana!!!!" (if you a thief, police will catch you)
Although the grandmother did not know the article what was violated.
Therefore, through simple words and it is hoped was easy to be understood, became my determination to help friends who had the problem with the law to be especially criminal and we discussed him openly in this page...
